Meet Debbie

I was born and grew up in Victoria, BC. In my 20's I moved to Vancouver as a single person to experience fun and the nightlife. I began my path to marketing, starting in the hospitality industry, Hotel & Restaurants, Nightclub management. Catering Director for various establishments. I enjoyed all aspects of processing inventory management and computerizing spreadsheets in the early '80s.

After several years in the hospitality industry, I moved into Retail POS Computer technology. Experienced in training staff, it was an easy transition to training retail store employees on Point-of-Sale and Inventory Software for various retailers.

At the start of 2000, I formed DE Consulting. As an independent contractor, I offered technical & customer service support and data services to multiple businesses: Web site developers, Direct Marketing List Brokers, internet job boards, and POS clients.  

I started noticing the trend towards Internet Marketing and educated myself by taking SEO courses and studies. I began providing Online Organic SEO Marketing Strategies to help customers get found on the internet. I offered my services to clients with websites and a core group of contractors and specialists in Custom web design development, Marketing, Social Media, Branding and Graphic artists.

In 2015 I moved back to Vancouver Island to be closer to family and our shared Shawnigan lakeside cabins. My husband and I both work from our Shawnigan Lake home offices. My husband, Michael Battler, is a Store and fixture designer and owns a Retail Design firm, CDM Retail.

As for my photo, I am more of a Dog person, but our little Ginger came to us as a birthday gift for my mother's 100th birthday, and after she passed this year, Ginger became ours.
